Winter on the Avenue

About this event

Park Avenue and Central Park will transform into a festive winter wonderland on the first Friday evening in December. Presented by the Winter Park Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the City of Winter Park, the celebration features the annual lighting of the Christmas tree, a Hanukkah menorah honorary lighting, Kwanzaa kinara display, strolling carolers, a visit from Santa, snow slides, s’mores stations, children's choirs, and more. Gather with family, friends and neighbors to celebrate the holiday season and kick off December in the heart of Winter Park.

Come experience the best of downtown Winter Park this holiday season! Park Avenue will be closed to vehicular traffic in order to transform downtown into a pedestrian plaza, beginning at 2 p.m. New England Avenue will remain open to thru traffic.
